How many hours a day do I have to wear my Invisalign®?
For the best results wear your aligners for 20-22 hours a day, only removing them when eating/drinking/brushing and flossing.
Is it noticeable?
No - we use a tooth coloured material to create small attachments on the teeth which serves as handles giving the aligners something to gently push on in order to move your teeth with the right amount of force. The aligners themselves are clear making them virtually invisible.
Does it hurt?
There can be some slight temporary discomfort as the teeth are moving, this is only usually for the first 3 days of each aligner, this is a sign your invisalign is working, and is completely normal.
Are there any restrictions on what I can eat?
No - unlike traditional fixed braces, invisalign is completely removable, allowing you to eat whatever you please.
How often do I have to have appointments?
You would need to visit your dentist on a regular basis, usually once every 4 weeks or every 4th aligner.
Sometimes when I remove my aligner my teeth feel loose, is that normal?
Yes, because your Invisalign® is slowly moving your teeth into a new position your gums have not formed fully around the teeth yet, once treatment is finished and gums have re-formed then your teeth will be solid.
Do I have to wear retainers after?
Yes - you will receive two types of retainers when finishing invisalign treatment, you will have a ‘bonded retainer’ (more info on the next blog) and a removable retainer called ‘Viveras’. Retainers have to be worn every night once treatment is completed!
How long will it take?
This is dependent on the case - a 'lite' case can be as quick as 4 months and a 'comprehensive' case can be completed in as little as 8 months.
How much does it cost?
Invisalign® starts from £2695 - £4495 depending on the severity of the case and how many aligners are needed to complete the treatment.
How do I pay for the treatment?
You can pay in 3 ways:

In chunks throughout treatment. There are two initial costs of £295 for the Clincheck and £1000 to order the aligners, then the rest can be split into chunks.
We offer 0% finance over 1 year, the £295 clincheck would need to be paid first
Would I need to have teeth removed?
Generally no, however if there is extreme crowding we may need to remove a tooth/teeth. We do something called ‘Interproximal reduction’ which involves using small course strips to create milliermites of space between the teeth, this usually creates enough space for the teeth to align properly.
